Temple Emanuel is a vibrant congregation in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Located in McAllen, one of the fastest growing cities in the United States, we are the spiritual home to a diverse and multi-generational congregation. Our members come from varied Jewish backgrounds, and while Temple Emanuel is affiliated with the Union of Reform Judaism, we strive to meet the needs of our traditional members. Temple Emanuel is dedicated to maintaining our Jewish heritage and traditions while respecting the individual's views and religious expression.
Come join us! You're invited to worship with us on Friday nights, Saturday mornings, and for all Jewish holidays.
Our email address is currently being set up and should be up and running later this month. Until then, we do not have email. It will no longer be templeemanuel@sbc.net. Please check back for the new address.

Announcements
Please don't send any more correspondance to the temple's P.O. Box 396. It will soon be closed. Instead, use the Temple Emanuel's street address: 4300 North C Street.
Due to air-conditioning zones throughout the building, please keep doors closed, especially the gift shop, library, chapel, social hall, and sanctuary doors. Please enter and exit the building through the main doors or through the office. The building has many emergency fire exits, and for many reasons, including security monitoring issues, the emergency exits should only be used in an emergency. And if you should exit the building via an emergency exit in a non-emergency situation, please check to make sure the door latches and locks behind you. Thanks for your cooperation.
We are organizing a Share a Ride service to help congregants who wish to attend services, but do not have a way of getting to Temple Emanuel. We are in the process of compiling a roster of congregants who attend Friday evening and/or Shabbat morning services and would be willing to make it possible for a fellow congregant to attend with them. Please call the Temple office at 686-9432 to register as a driver if you can provide this valuable service or if you are in need of a ride.
The Mitzvah Service Committee is currently helping families in our community and is running short of funds. Please consider making a donation. Click here to read about the role of the Mitzvah Service Committee.
